Artist of Change

“What is this life if, full of care, when we have no time to stand and stare” – W. H. Davies. These are the very lines that come to mind when one meets. The man is the epitome of living what you love. The founder of Artist of Change has brought in a standing example for future generations to watch and learn.

He defines his initiative as art that brings out change or the change that’s brought out due to art. He firmly believes that every human is a born artist with an inherent spark of creativity in them. Sadly, the pressures of adulthood eventually burn out the spark and turn humans into structured machines. It is very few who manage to keep the spark alive even into adulthood. He prides himself as one of the few people who found his calling much earlier in life and strove to remain true to his calling.

His passion for art has propelled him to use art as an instrument to generate goodwill amount which was later donated to serving adults and children in need. He firmly believes that art does not attain full circle unless it is of use to society. He has received many accolades for his work including being invited by the Indian President as a resident artist at The Rashtrapati Bhavan for a period of 21 days.

Briefing about his career, he claims that’s he found his calling for art much early in life and chose to stay out of the rat race into software and IT domains. He joined advertising since it provided an outlet for his creativity. He says his journey had not been easy and he had to face his fair share of obstacles. It was difficult for him to let go of a familiar and comfortable lifestyle for a long time career in art. People around him questioned his choices and looked down on him. Though it took him a while to make people understand his interest, the time and effort were worth it.

In addition to garnering numerous awards, he is also an amazing cook adept at making a variety of cuisines, even making it as one of the finalists in Chennai Cooking stars. When asked what message he has for the young generation, he says the youngsters to never stop their search in finding what they love and to always take time for self-introspection.
