When we talk about humanity, there can be various perspectives to look at it. The most straightforward way to understand humanity is this simple definition – everything that makes you human can be considered a part of humanity. This can be love, hope, faith, fear, and much more. All these attributes are a part of humanity because you experience them regularly while living your life.

The Pride of Humanity awards 2021 initiated by Take Care International Foundation are being held in the hope to recognize outstanding humanitarian services and positive actions by individuals. The Pride of Humanity award recognizes the world’s most influential and accomplished humanitarian workers from all walks of life.

Born in Chennai (North Chennai) Mr. Tanveer was born to make a change in the society. He did his BBA from the New College, Chennai and later joined the ‘Tehelka’ newspaper and worked in the media frame. In 2013 Mr. Tanveer came up with the idea of starting up a venture and successfully established SANDWICH SQUARE. After that he and Mr. Prabhakaran came up with the idea to start a voluntary group called TAMIL NADU YOUTH FORCE. Their main aim is to flourish education in the rural areas as according to him only education can bring basic changes in the society. Their group works in 28 districts of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry with nearly 2,900 active volunteers.

During the 1st phase of COVID-19 pandemic they focused on sending migrant workers to their home back and provided them with shelter and food. During the 2nd phase of the pandemic they helped people with oxygen by making a website and updating it regularly about oxygen availability. They helped 190 auto drivers family in Shrinivasapuram near the beach and also helped people by putting a mobile unit of oxygen in Coimbatore. When COVID was at it peak they helped people with whatever help possible by providing water and food.

Tanveer’s main aim is to help rural people with education in upcoming years so that it can facilitate the idea of brotherhood and no hatred in the society.

Pride of Humanity being an initiative to acknowledge humanitarian workers, your contribution towards the wellbeing of society was nothing less than a moment of appreciation. We hope nothing but the best for your future endeavors and hope that this award stands as a stepping stone for you to continue in this path of kindness and giving and to always lead as a humanitarian worker. Once again congratulations!

“The best way to not feel hopeless is to get up and do something. Don’t wait for good things to happen to you. If you go out and make some good things happen, you will fill the world with hope, you will fill yourself with hope.”
